Commissioners completed lengthy negotiations on a Development Agreement with Miller Valentine for a $40 million investment to construct medical facilities for Tri Health Bethesda Hospital. The agreement secures service payments from Tri Health to support Liberty Interchange Phase II and requires construction of the initial section of the Connector Road for the extension of rout 129.
Additionally, we collaborated with County Engineer to craft a development agreement for a Millikin Road project to alleviate drainage and flooding issue and leverage a $500,000 by the Storm Water Fund. This effort resulted in the Developer assuming an additional $300,000 of project cost and extended the benefit area to property owners on the south side of Millikin Road.
We worked with Fairfield Township, Fairfield School District, and the Port Authority and the City of Hamilton to finalize a development agreement for and independent living facility in Fairfield Township. This was a lengthy and complicated negotiation which resolved long standing issues with the Joint economic Development Agreements, TIF tax implications for the Fairfield School District, roadway alignment on Hamilton Mason Road, and provided for Hamilton to take leadership in managing future development in the impacted areas.
